Poor Sportsmanship in League of Legends

⚠️ DO NOT DOX, HARASS, THREATEN, ETC.
XANTEUS2X IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM!

just because xanteus2x did something stupid and hurtful, that does not mean that I encourage people to bite them back over this. No, that’s stupid and wrong.

I didn't really think I was going to talk about this...
but seeing how I'm still slightly upset about what happened,
and the possibility that League of Legends players might benefit from this,
I've made up my mind to talk about it.

First, a bit of context.
Back in December 12, 2022, I decided to give the player vs player round a try for the first time in a very long time.  In the grand scheme of things, it was accidental, but I was optimistic about it anyway because I was curious about how my abilities would withstand against other people, provided I had any at all.

Unfortunately, as the game play would reveal to me in-game, my computer could not perform a smooth game-play when there are more active players, causing my computer to lag horribly to the point that I couldn't engage in combat the way that I normally would.

I wouldn't be so hard on xanteus2x if I didn't say something during battle,
but that's the kicker here:
I did say something to the rest of the team, xanteus2x included.

Although I can't pull up the replay anymore as proof, I explicitly made it clear that my computer was lagging to the point that it was doing a number on my combat abilities. Given these circumstances, I'm surprised I even got an honor that round at all.

How does xanteus2x respond?
Well, on top of my account being briefly suspended, if you look at the chat and translate what they said from their Spanish origins, you'll see that xanteus2x went out of their way to insult me, including, but not limited to, being called "filthy trash".

Being suspended isn't something that happens to me often, and it would have been an easier experience on me if xanteus2x had not been the jerk that they were being that day. Hell, they wouldn't have looked so bad if they (in their misspelled way) calmly explained that they didn't like my game-play and allowed me to explain myself, even though I already did in combat.

But no, instead of any of these things, you accused me of trolling the game, refused to believe me when I said something about it, insulted me and at least one other teammate, and got me suspended for about two weeks.

I bring this all up to bring up something else that I had said regarding this: if xanteus2x is representation of how most people are in League of Legends as far as player vs player sportsmanship, then you can count me out. You might suggest to me that I could be going too far here and I could potentially be angry at a little kid in the grand scheme of things, but you would think that even a young child would understand the concept of basic sportsmanship, and those who do not shouldn't be playing online games regarding other players until they can get that resolved.

Perhaps one of the reasons why this bothers me as much as it does is because I have to deal with this kind of stuff at work. As somebody who works in customer service, I have to deal with people who are extra, like xanteus2x here, but in that situation, I cannot do anything about it. You can only bite at people so many times before they start biting back, and this kind of abuse was uncalled for.

If League of Legends has a significant number of people like xanteus2x, then it's in serious trouble, because that kind of poor sportsmanship is going to taint the waters for any future players who might want in.  Hell, if they aren't careful, people might start walking out in favor of another game.

I hope that anybody who reads this will be both wary of xanteus2x's behavior and consider being better than them. You do not know what other players are going through in real life, and it would help if you believed them when they communicate important information to you, such as problems going on with their computer.

Thank you.
